Why so? Is it because I do not love you? God knows I do.


and, in addition to these things, which are external: there is my daily earnestness and solicitude for all the churches.


For we are not like many others, adulterating the Word of God. But instead, we speak with sincerity: from God, before God, and in Christ.


It was for this reason, also, that I wrote, so that I might know, by testing you, whether you would be obedient in all things.


For though I made you sorrowful by my epistle, I do not repent. And if I did repent, but only for a time, having realized that the same epistle made you sorrowful,


For if a man does not know how to lead his own house, how will he take care of the Church of God?
