When our sons shall be as plants grown up in their youth,\par\tab And our daughters as corner-stones hewn after the fashion of a palace;


They shall utter the memory of thy great goodness,\par\tab And shall sing of thy righteousness.


One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after:\par\tab That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life,\par\tab To behold the beauty of Jehovah,\par\tab And to inquire in his temple.


Oh how great is thy goodness,\par\tab Which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee,\par\tab Which thou hast wrought for them that take refuge in thee,\par\tab Before the sons of men!


How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God!\par\tab And the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.


Thou art fairer than the children of men;\par\tab Grace is poured into thy lips:\par\tab Therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.


Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,\par\tab God hath shined forth.


But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious,\par\tab Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.


For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive,\par\tab And abundant in lovingkindness unto all them that call upon thee.


And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us;\par\tab And establish thou the work of our hands upon us;\par\tab Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.\par


Who is like unto thee, O Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?


My beloved is white and ruddy,\par\tab The chiefest among ten thousand.


And thy mouth like the best wine,\par\tab That goeth down smoothly for my beloved,\par\tab Gliding through the lips of those that are asleep.\par


Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold a land that reacheth afar.


Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where are thy zeal and thy mighty acts? the yearning of thy heart and thy compassions are restrained toward me.


I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah, {\i and} the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.


And they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow unto the goodness of Jehovah, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.


And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith Jehovah.\par


And ye shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and shall praise the name of Jehovah your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you; and my people shall never be put to shame.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall flow with waters; and a fountain shall come forth from the house of Jehovah, and shall water the valley of Shittim.


And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.


For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.


And the law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace did abound more exceedingly:


But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
