Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,\par\tab Whose hope is in Jehovah his God:


Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him,\par\tab Upon them that hope in his lovingkindness;


Let thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, be upon us,\par\tab According as we have hoped in thee.\par


The wicked is thrust down in his evil-doing;\par\tab But the righteous hath a refuge in his death.


Blessed is the man that trusteth in Jehovah, and whose trust Jehovah is.


Turn you to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope: even to-day do I declare that I will render double unto thee.


rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer;


Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.\par


For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.


Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, {\b So shall thy seed be.}

But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.


Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,


that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.


Now faith is assurance of {\i things} hoped for, a conviction of things not seen.


who through him are believers in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope might be in God.


Blessed {\i be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,


And every one that hath this hope {\i set} on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
