If thou doest well, shall it not be lifted up? and if thou doest not well, sin coucheth at the door; and unto thee shall be its desire; but do thou rule over it.


Establish my footsteps in thy word;\par\tab And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.


Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous {\i sins};\par\tab Let them not have dominion over me:\par\tab Then shall I be upright,\par\tab And I shall be clear from great transgression.


And if a man's hair be fallen off his head, he is bald; yet is he clean.


But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.


But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to {\i fulfil} the lusts {\i thereof}.\par


but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, {\i shall be} wrath and indignation,


that, as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.\par


For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under law, but under grace.\par


Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves {\i as} servants unto obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?


But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you.\par


for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.


For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.


For indeed we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened; not for that we would be unclothed, but that we would be clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up of life.


But I say, Walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.


And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.\par


among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:—


that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit;


and when Jehovah thy God shall deliver them up before thee, and thou shalt smite them; then thou shalt utterly destroy them: thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them;


not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who know not God;


But flee youthful lusts, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.


instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world;


For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.


as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in {\i the time of} your ignorance:


Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;


These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their lusts (and their mouth speaketh great swelling {\i words}), showing respect of persons for the sake of advantage.\par


they said to you, In {\i the} last time there shall be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.


Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.
