Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them shall ye kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city:


And he also that {\i received} the two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: lo, I have gained other two talents.


Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send unto them prophets and apostles; and {\i some} of them they shall kill and persecute;


Now there were at Antioch, in the church that was {\i there}, prophets and teachers, Barnabas, and Symeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen the foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.


And Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.


{\b And it shall be in the last days, saith God,\par\tab I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh:\par\tab And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,\par\tab And your young men shall see visions,\par\tab And your old men shall dream dreams:}


Now this man had four virgin daughters, who prophesied.

And if I have {\i the gift of} prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.


Follow after love; yet desire earnestly spiritual {\i gifts}, but rather that ye may prophesy.


But if all prophesy, and there come in one unbelieving or unlearned, he is reproved by all, he is judged by all;


And let the prophets speak {\i by} two or three, and let the others discern.


What then is Apollos? and what is Paul? Ministers through whom ye believed; and each as the Lord gave to him.


Yet I would that all men were even as I myself. Howbeit each man hath his own gift from God, one after this manner, and another after that.\par


For if the readiness is there, {\i it is} acceptable according as {\i a man} hath, not according as {\i he} hath not.


which in other generations was not made known unto the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;


And he gave some {\i to be} apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;


Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, this also shall God reveal unto you:


knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation.
