And now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father's house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods?


And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.


And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate!


And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem: believe in Jehovah your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.


So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily.\par


Now after these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.


And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.


that is, that I with you may be comforted in you, each of us by the other's faith, both yours and mine.


but now, having no more any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come unto you,


And I know that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of Christ.\par


that I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.


Now to him that is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which hath been kept in silence through times eternal,


And in this confidence I was minded to come first unto you, that ye might have a second benefit;


Now he that establisheth us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God;


For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or {\i if} ye receive a different spirit, which ye did not receive, or a different gospel, which ye did not accept, ye do well to bear with {\i him}.


while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, long after you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you.


For God is my witness, how I long after you all in the tender mercies of Christ Jesus.


since he longed after you all, and was sore troubled, because ye had heard that he was sick:


Wherefore, my brethren beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.\par


to the end he may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.\par


and sent Timothy, our brother and God's minister in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort {\i you} concerning your faith;


comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.\par


But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and guard you from the evil {\i one}.


Be not carried away by divers and strange teachings: for it is good that the heart be established by grace; not by meats, wherein they that occupied themselves were not profited.


And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you.


By Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I account {\i him}, I have written unto you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God: stand ye fast therein.


Wherefore I shall be ready always to put you in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the truth which is with {\i you}.
