In that day Jehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:


And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth in front of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.


David smote also Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his dominion at the River.


And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of the Euphrates:


turn you, and take your journey, and go to the hill-country of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the Arabah, in the hill-country, and in the lowland, and in the South, and by the sea-shore, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.


From the wilderness, and this Lebanon, even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.


And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river, the {\i river} Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way might be made ready for the kings that {\i come} from the sunrising.


After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that no wind should blow on the earth, or on the sea, or upon any tree.


And I saw another angel ascend from the sunrising, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a great voice to the four angels to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,


And I saw the seven angels that stand before God; and there were given unto them seven trumpets.\par


And the seven angels that had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.\par


And the four angels were loosed, that had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, that they should kill the third part of men.
