4 These are they that were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These {\i are} they that follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were purchased from among men, {\i to be} the firstfruits unto God and unto the Lamb.

Thine oils have a goodly fragrance;\par\tab Thy name is {\i as} oil poured forth;\par\tab Therefore do the virgins love thee.


There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines,\par\tab And virgins without number.

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will the Father honor.

But shouldest thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Yet such shall have tribulation in the flesh: and I would spare you.


For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy: for I espoused you to one husband, that I might present you {\i as} a pure virgin to Christ.


which is an earnest of our inheritance, unto the redemption of {\i God's} own possession, unto the praise of his glory.\par

Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.\par


But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for {\i God's} own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:


These shall war against the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them, for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and they {\i also shall overcome} that are with him, called and chosen and faithful.


And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God the Almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple thereof.


And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof {\i is} the Lamb.


But thou hast a few names in Sardis that did not defile their garments: and they shall walk with me in white; for they are worthy.


And they sing a new song, saying,\par\tab Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood men of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,
