In that day Jehovah with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan the swift serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he will slay the monster that is in the sea.\par


Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Is it not thou that didst cut Rahab in pieces, that didst pierce the monster?


The elder and the honorable man, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.


And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.


And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.


and concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other {\i horn} which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake great things, whose look was more stout than its fellows.


And as for the ten horns, out of this kingdom shall ten kings arise: and another shall arise after them; and he shall be diverse from the former, and he shall put down three kings.


And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars;


And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth the man {\i child}.


And the dragon waxed wroth with the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, that keep the commandments of God, and hold the testimony of Jesus:


And his tail draweth the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon standeth before the woman that is about to be delivered, that when she is delivered he may devour her child.


And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels {\i going forth} to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his angels;


And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.


And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy.


And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as {\i the feet} of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority.


and they worshipped the dragon, because he gave his authority unto the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? and who is able to war with him?


And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having seven plagues, {\i which are} the last, for in them is finished the wrath of God.\par


And I saw {\i coming} out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, as it were frogs:


And the ten horns that thou sawest are ten kings, who have received no kingdom as yet; but they receive authority as kings, with the beast, for one hour.


And the ten horns which thou sawest, and the beast, these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her utterly with fire.


And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou wonder? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and the ten horns.


And his eyes {\i are} as a flame of fire, and upon his head {\i are} many diadems; and he hath a name written which no one knoweth but he himself.


And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
