And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, Hast thou killed and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.


And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of Jehovah.


And shed innocent blood,\par\tab Even the blood of their sons and of their daughters,\par\tab Whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan;\par\tab And the land was polluted with blood.


For dogs have compassed me:\par\tab A company of evil-doers have inclosed me;\par\tab They pierced my hands and my feet.


They gather themselves together, they hide themselves,\par\tab They mark my steps,\par\tab Even as they have waited for my soul.


For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul;\par\tab The mighty gather themselves together against me:\par\tab Not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.


Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.


If they say, Come with us,\par\tab Let us lay wait for blood;\par\tab Let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause;


For their feet run to evil,\par\tab And they make haste to shed blood.


He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the righteous,\par\tab Both of them alike are an abomination to Jehovah.


Only know ye for certain that, if ye put me to death, ye will bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof; for of a truth Jehovah hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.\par


In thee have they taken bribes to shed blood; thou hast taken interest and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbors by oppression, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord Jehovah.\par


Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, {\i and} to destroy souls, that they may get dishonest gain.


Behold, the princes of Israel, every one according to his power, have been in thee to shed blood.


Now, O king, establish the interdict, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.


Now when morning was come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:


saying, I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood. But they said, What is that to us? see thou {\i to it}.


Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? and they killed them that showed before of the coming of the Righteous One; of whom ye have now become betrayers and murderers;


Ye have condemned, ye have killed the righteous {\i one}; he doth not resist you.\par


And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with a great wonder.
