And surely your blood, the blood of your lives, will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it: and at the hand of man, even at the hand of every man's brother, will I require the life of man.


and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood: and Jehovah would not pardon.


Thou hast seen {\i it}; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand:\par\tab The helpless committeth {\i himself} unto thee;\par\tab Thou hast been the helper of the fatherless.


Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek:\par\tab Thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear;


He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute,\par\tab And hath not despised their prayer.


For Jehovah hath chosen Zion;\par\tab He hath desired it for his habitation.


For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;\par\tab Neither hath he hid his face from him;\par\tab But when he cried unto him, he heard.


This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him,\par\tab And saved him out of all his troubles.


The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands upon thousands:\par\tab The Lord is among them, {\i as in} Sinai, in the sanctuary.


Remember thy congregation, which thou hast gotten of old,\par\tab Which thou hast redeemed to be the tribe of thine inheritance;\par\tab {\i And} mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.


There he brake the arrows of the bow;\par\tab The shield, and the sword, and the battle. {\i Selah


And Jehovah said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people that are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;


And now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: moreover I have seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.


For, behold, Jehovah cometh forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.\par


Behold, I and the children whom Jehovah hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from Jehovah of hosts, who dwelleth in mount Zion.\par


that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous unto the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom ye slew between the sanctuary and the altar.


for they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and blood hast thou given them to drink: they are worthy.


And they put away the foreign gods from among them, and served Jehovah; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
