I have waited for thy salvation, O Jehovah.


For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the nations round about.


And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.


And the sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara; five of them in all.


And the sons of Kohath were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.


let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee at this time, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants while I confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee. Yea, I and my father's house have sinned:


O Jehovah the Lord, the strength of my salvation,\par\tab Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.


O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou answerest not;\par\tab And in the night season, and am not silent.


He shall receive a blessing from Jehovah,\par\tab And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord;\par\tab For unto thee do I cry all the day long.


Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Jehovah, {\i even} Jehovah, is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation.


I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah's remembrancers, take ye no rest,


And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.


And shall not God avenge his elect, that cry to him day and night, and {\i yet} he is longsuffering over them?


For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
