Remember, O Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindness;\par\tab For they have been ever of old.


Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Jehovah;\par\tab Let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.


{\b For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba.}\par\par\tab Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness:\par\tab According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.


Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from Jehovah, and the justice {\i due} to me is passed away from my God?


Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where are thy zeal and thy mighty acts? the yearning of thy heart and thy compassions are restrained toward me.


God is not a man, that he should lie, Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and will he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and will he not make it good?


For God hath shut up all unto disobedience, that he might have mercy upon all.\par


But whoso hath the world's goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him?
