It may be Jehovah thy God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which Jehovah thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.


And they spake of the God of Jerusalem, as of the gods of the peoples of the earth, which are the work of men's hands.\par


Remember, O Jehovah, against the children of Edom\par\tab The day of Jerusalem;\par\tab Who said, Rase it, rase it,\par\tab Even to the foundation thereof.


Deliver me from all my transgressions:\par\tab Make me not the reproach of the foolish.

Do ye thus requite Jehovah, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee? He hath made thee, and established thee.
