And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for else none of us shall escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us quickly, and bring down evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.


And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come into the midst of them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.


For, lo, the wicked bend the bow,\par\tab They make ready their arrow upon the string,\par\tab That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart;


God will hear, and answer them,\par\tab Even he that abideth of old, {\i Selah\par\tab {\i The men} who have no changes,\par\tab And who fear not God.


Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee:\par\tab He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
