Moreover David and the captains of the host set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of them that did the work according to their service was:


Of Jeduthun; the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising Jehovah.


My help {\i cometh} from Jehovah,\par\tab Who made heaven and earth.


Behold, as the eyes of servants {\i look} unto the hand of their master,\par\tab As the eyes of a maid unto the hand of her mistress;\par\tab So our eyes {\i look} unto Jehovah our God,\par\tab Until he have mercy upon us.


Guide me in thy truth, and teach me;\par\tab For thou art the God of my salvation;\par\tab For thee do I wait all the day.


Wait for Jehovah:\par\tab Be strong, and let thy heart take courage;\par\tab Yea, wait thou for Jehovah.\par


Our soul hath waited for Jehovah:\par\tab He is our help and our shield.


But the salvation of the righteous is of Jehovah;\par\tab He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.


Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him:\par\tab Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,\par\tab Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.


{\b For the Chief Musician, for Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.}\par\par\tab I said, I will take heed to my ways,\par\tab That I sin not with my tongue:\par\tab I will keep my mouth with a bridle,\par\tab While the wicked is before me.


{\b For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.}\par\par\tab I waited patiently for Jehovah;\par\tab And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.


He only is my rock and my salvation:\par\tab {\i He is} my high tower;\par\tab I shall not be greatly moved.


{\b For the Chief Musician. A Psalm. A Song of David.}\par\par\tab Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion;\par\tab And unto thee shall the vow be performed.


{\b For the Chief Musician; after the manner of Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph.}\par\par\tab I will cry unto God with my voice,\par\tab Even unto God with my voice; and he will give ear unto me.


Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Jehovah, {\i even} Jehovah, is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation.


And therefore will Jehovah wait, that he may be gracious unto you; and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for Jehovah is a God of justice; blessed are all they that wait for him.


but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.\par


Truly in vain is {\i the help that is looked for} from the hills, the tumult on the mountains: truly in Jehovah our God is the salvation of Israel.


Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.


Out of the mouth of the Most High cometh there not evil and good?


Be patient therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receive the early and latter rain.
