Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the prince of my people, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee; on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of Jehovah.


Return, I pray you, let there be no injustice;\par\tab Yea, return again, my cause is righteous.


The wicked shall see it, and be grieved;\par\tab He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away:\par\tab The desire of the wicked shall perish.


His enemies will I clothe with shame;\par\tab But upon himself shall his crown flourish.


Then will he speak unto them in his wrath,\par\tab And vex them in his sore displeasure:


Yea, none that wait for thee shall be put to shame:\par\tab They shall be put to shame that deal treacherously without cause.


Let them be put to shame and confounded together that rejoice at my hurt:\par\tab Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify themselves against me.


Hold them guilty, O God;\par\tab Let them fall by their own counsels;\par\tab Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions;\par\tab For they have rebelled against thee.


He hath put forth his hands against such as were at peace with him:\par\tab He hath profaned his covenant.


Arise, O Jehovah, in thine anger;\par\tab Lift up thyself against the rage of mine adversaries,\par\tab And awake for me; thou hast commanded judgment.


Let them be put to shame {\i and} consumed that are adversaries to my soul;\par\tab Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.


My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long;\par\tab For they are put to shame, for they are confounded, that seek my hurt.\par


How are they become a desolation in a moment!\par\tab They are utterly consumed with terrors.


Show me a token for good,\par\tab That they who hate me may see it, and be put to shame,\par\tab Because thou, Jehovah, hast helped me, and comforted me.\par


He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck\par\tab Shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy


Jehovah, thy hand is lifted up, yet they see not: but they shall see {\i thy} zeal for the people, and be put to shame; yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries.


But Jehovah is with me as a mighty one {\i and} a terrible: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail; they shall be utterly put to shame, because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which shall never be forgotten.


Then shall ye return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.\par


When they are saying, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in no wise escape.
