Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the prince of my people, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee; on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of Jehovah.


My friends scoff at me:\par\tab {\i But} mine eye poureth out tears unto God,


Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in\par\tab From this time forth and for evermore.


Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance;\par\tab And in thy book they were all written,\par\tab {\i Even} the days that were ordained {\i for me},\par\tab When as yet there was none of them.


Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and give ear unto my cry;\par\tab Hold not thy peace at my tears:\par\tab For I am a stranger with thee,\par\tab A sojourner, as all my fathers were.


In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.\par


Yet, Jehovah, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me; forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight; but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thou with them in the time of thine anger.\par


Then they that feared Jehovah spake one with another; and Jehovah hearkened, and heard, and a book of remembrance was written before him, for them that feared Jehovah, and that thought upon his name.
