Psalm 54:1

and he said, O Jehovah, the God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and art not thou ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? and in thy hand is power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee.


{\b For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.}\par\par\tab Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble;\par\tab The name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;


{\b {\i A Psalm} of David.}\par\par\tab Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity:\par\tab I have trusted also in Jehovah without wavering.


As is thy name, O God,\par\tab So is thy praise unto the ends of the earth:\par\tab Thy right hand is full of righteousness.


Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name;\par\tab And deliver us, and forgive our sins, for thy name's sake.


The king's strength also loveth justice;\par\tab Thou dost establish equity;\par\tab Thou executest justice and righteousness in Jacob.


Take ye heed before him, and hearken unto his voice; provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgression: for my name is in him.


The name of Jehovah is a strong tower;\par\tab The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.


For their Redeemer is strong;\par\tab He will plead their cause against thee.


Behold, the name of Jehovah cometh from far, burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue is as a devouring fire;


Their Redeemer is strong; Jehovah of hosts is his name: he will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.


And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.
