They shall come and shall declare his righteousness\par\tab Unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done it.\par


{\b For the Chief Musician. Maschil of the sons of Korah.}\par\par\tab As the hart panteth after the water brooks,\par\tab So panteth my soul after thee, O God.


Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not,\par\tab Until I have declared thy strength unto {\i the next} generation,\par\tab Thy might to every one that is to come.


I have considered the days of old,\par\tab The years of ancient times.


The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day:\par\tab The father to the children shall make known thy truth.


Tell ye your children of it, and {\i let} your children {\i tell} their children, and their children another generation.


When thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which Jehovah our God hath commanded you?


And Gideon said unto him, Oh, my lord, if Jehovah is with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not Jehovah bring us up from Egypt? but now Jehovah hath cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midian.
