And it came to pass, when David was come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lo-debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,


Like the dew of Hermon,\par\tab That cometh down upon the mountains of Zion:\par\tab For there Jehovah commanded the blessing,\par\tab Even life for evermore.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul?\par\tab And why art thou disquieted within me?\par\tab Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him,\par\tab {\i Who is} the help of my countenance, and my God.\par


From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed:\par\tab Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.


When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Jehovah;\par\tab And my prayer came in unto thee, into thy holy temple.


And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, {\cf6 My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.}
