Plead thou my cause, and redeem me:\par\tab Quicken me according to thy word.


I cried unto thee, O Jehovah;\par\tab I said, Thou art my refuge,\par\tab My portion in the land of the living.


Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord?\par\tab Arise, cast {\i us} not off for ever.


Wherefore hidest thou thy face,\par\tab And forgettest our affliction and our oppression?


They run and prepare themselves without {\i my} fault:\par\tab Awake thou to help me, and behold.


Arise, O Jehovah, in thine anger;\par\tab Lift up thyself against the rage of mine adversaries,\par\tab And awake for me; thou hast commanded judgment.


And let the congregation of the peoples compass thee about;\par\tab And over them return thou on high.


Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish thou the righteous:\par\tab For the righteous God trieth the minds and hearts.
