And David and all the house of Israel played before Jehovah with all manner of instruments made of fir-wood, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with castanets, and with cymbals.


And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers, with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.


Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with psalteries and harps.


Of Jeduthun; the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising Jehovah.


All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of Jehovah, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.


I will sing a new song unto thee, O God:\par\tab Upon a psaltery of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.


Let them praise his name in the dance:\par\tab Let them sing praises unto him with timbrel and harp.


I will also praise thee with the psaltery,\par\tab {\i Even} thy truth, O my God:\par\tab Unto thee will I sing praises with the harp,\par\tab O thou Holy One of Israel.


With an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery;\par\tab With a solemn sound upon the harp.


For thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work:\par\tab I will triumph in the works of thy hands.


And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.


And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and the voice which I heard {\i was} as {\i the voice} of harpers harping with their harps:


And when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
