And it came to pass, when the king dwelt in his house, and Jehovah had given him rest from all his enemies round about,


This is the reward of mine adversaries from Jehovah,\par\tab And of them that speak evil against my soul.


I have set Jehovah always before me:\par\tab Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron;\par\tab Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.\par


They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him;\par\tab And his enemies shall lick the dust.


As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;


But his citizens hated him, and sent an ambassage after him, saying, We will not that this man reign over us.

For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.

And though men be risen up to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul, yet the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with Jehovah thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as from the hollow of a sling.


And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers overtook him; and he was greatly distressed by reason of the archers.
