Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion; the same is the city of David.


And they brought in the ark of Jehovah, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before Jehovah.


And he built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor unto the walls of the ceiling: he built them for it within, for an oracle, even for the most holy place.


I cry unto Jehovah with my voice,\par\tab And he answereth me out of his holy hill. {\i Selah


For strangers are risen up against me,\par\tab And violent men have sought after my soul:\par\tab They have not set God before them. {\i Selah


Until I went into the sanctuary of God,\par\tab And considered their latter end.


The name of Jehovah is a strong tower;\par\tab The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.


Cry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great in the midst of thee is the Holy One of Israel.\par


What then shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That Jehovah hath founded Zion, and in her shall the afflicted of his people take refuge.\par
