Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made fifty cubits high, and in the morning speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.\par


So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.\par


So they shall be made to stumble, their own tongue being against them:\par\tab All that see them shall wag the head.


His mischief shall return upon his own head,\par\tab And his violence shall come down upon his own pate.


And he hath brought upon them their own iniquity,\par\tab And will cut them off in their own wickedness;\par\tab Jehovah our God will cut them off.\par


The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life;\par\tab But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.


Blessings are upon the head of the righteous;\par\tab But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.


In the transgression of the lips is a snare to the evil man;\par\tab But the righteous shall come out of trouble.


A fool's mouth is his destruction,\par\tab And his lips are the snare of his soul.


And all the people answered and said, His blood {\i be} on us, and on our children.


Were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, Lest their adversaries should judge amiss, Lest they should say, Our hand is exalted, And Jehovah hath not done all this.
