Behold, he will slay me; I have no hope:\par\tab Nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him.


Show thy marvellous lovingkindness,\par\tab O thou that savest by thy right hand them that take refuge {\i in thee}\par\tab From those that rise up {\i against them}.


He delivered me from my strong enemy,\par\tab And from them that hated me; for they were too mighty for me.


They came upon me in the day of my calamity;\par\tab But Jehovah was my stay.


Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation;\par\tab And thy right hand hath holden me up,\par\tab And thy gentleness hath made me great.


Now know I that Jehovah saveth his anointed;\par\tab He will answer him from his holy heaven\par\tab With the saving strength of his right hand.

They shall only bow down under the prisoners, and shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.\par


fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.


Therefore is the anger of Jehovah kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them; and the mountains tremble, and their dead bodies are as refuse in the midst of the streets.
