{\b A Song of Ascents; of David.}\par\par\tab Jehovah, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty;\par\tab Neither do I exercise myself in great matters,\par\tab Or in things too wonderful for me.


O Israel, hope in Jehovah\par\tab From this time forth and for evermore.


And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God:\par\tab Many shall see it, and fear,\par\tab And shall trust in Jehovah.


For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah:\par\tab {\i Thou art} my trust from my youth.


But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious,\par\tab Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.

let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for who hopeth for that which he seeth?
