And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.


and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps set to the Sheminith, to lead.


Arise, O Jehovah; save me, O my God:\par\tab For thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone;\par\tab Thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.

Return, O Jehovah, deliver my soul:\par\tab Save me for thy lovingkindness' sake.


Most men will proclaim every one his own kindness;\par\tab But a faithful man who can find?


Except Jehovah of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, we should have been like unto Gomorrah.\par


The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil {\i to come}.


None sueth in righteousness, and none pleadeth in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.


And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my wrath, it upheld me.


Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that doeth justly, that seeketh truth; and I will pardon her.


But when he saw the wind, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.


And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold.


And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Save, Lord; we perish.
