Establish my footsteps in thy word;\par\tab And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.


Mine eyes anticipated the night-watches,\par\tab That I might meditate on thy word.


I rejoice at thy word,\par\tab As one that findeth great spoil.


I am a sojourner in the earth:\par\tab Hide not thy commandments from me.


I will run the way of thy commandments,\par\tab When thou shalt enlarge my heart.\par


It is good for me that I have been afflicted;\par\tab That I may learn thy statutes.


I am thine, save me;\par\tab For I have sought thy precepts.


He that separateth himself seeketh {\i his own} desire,\par\tab And rageth against all sound wisdom.


When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened;\par\tab And if thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.


And I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven: it is a sore travail that God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised therewith.

Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life; and these are they which bear witness of me;


Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.


But he that looketh into the perfect law, the {\i law} of liberty, and {\i so} continueth, being not a hearer that forgetteth but a doer that worketh, this man shall be blessed in his doing.


So speak ye, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty.
