Thou art my hiding-place and my shield:\par\tab I hope in thy word.


My flesh trembleth for fear of thee;\par\tab And I am afraid of thy judgments.\par


With my lips have I declared\par\tab All the ordinances of thy mouth.


I anticipated the dawning of the morning, and cried:\par\tab I hoped in thy words.


Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee;\par\tab And let thine ordinances help me.


I have remembered thine ordinances of old, O Jehovah,\par\tab And have comforted myself.


They that fear thee shall see me and be glad,\par\tab Because I have hoped in thy word.

And as for me, this is my covenant with them, saith Jehovah: my Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seeds seed, saith Jehovah, from henceforth and for ever.\par
