But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the nations, whom Jehovah cast out from before the children of Israel.


And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.


And he made his son to pass through the fire, and practised augury, and used enchantments, and dealt with them that had familiar spirits, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.


and he appointed him priests for the high places, and for the he-goats, and for the calves which he had made.


ye that inflame yourselves among the oaks, under every green tree; that slay the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?


And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through {\i the fire} unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.\par


And they have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded not, neither came it into my mind.


and I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through {\i the fire} all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am Jehovah.\par


and when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, do ye pollute yourselves with all your idols unto this day? and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will not be inquired of by you;


For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands; and with their idols have they committed adultery; and they have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass through {\i the fire} unto them to be devoured.


And the company shall stone them with stones, and despatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.


And they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices unto the he-goats, after which they play the harlot. This shall be a statute forever unto them throughout their generations.


And thou shalt not give any of thy seed to make them pass through the fire to Molech; neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.


Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why didst thou make me thus?


But {\i I say}, that the things which they sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have communion with demons.


There shall not be found with thee any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one that useth divination, one that practiseth augury, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,


They sacrificed unto demons, which were no God, To gods that they knew not, To new gods that came up of late, Which your fathers dreaded not.
