By them the birds of the heavens have their habitation;\par\tab They sing among the branches.


O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how greatly to be pitied shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!\par


Yea, the stork in the heavens knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle-dove and the swallow and the crane observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the law of Jehovah.\par


All the birds of the heavens made their nests in its boughs; and under its branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young; and under its shadow dwelt all great nations.


whose leaves were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was food for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the birds of the heavens had their habitation:


and the stork, the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.


Though thou mount on high as the eagle, and though thy nest be set among the stars, I will bring thee down from thence, saith Jehovah.\par


which indeed is less than all seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becometh a tree, so that {\b the birds of the heaven come and lodge in the branches thereof.}}\par
