O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who delight to fear thy name; and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.\par\par\tab Now I was cupbearer to the king.


let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee at this time, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants while I confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee. Yea, I and my father's house have sinned:


Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.\par


Jehovah doth build up Jerusalem;\par\tab He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.


For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;\par\tab Neither hath he hid his face from him;\par\tab But when he cried unto him, he heard.


Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see;\par\tab And make their loins continually to shake.


For he will deliver the needy when he crieth,\par\tab And the poor, that hath no helper.


For the needy shall not alway be forgotten,\par\tab Nor the expectation of the poor perish for ever.


and the glory of Jehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken it.\par


that confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith of Jerusalem, She shall be inhabited; and of the cities of Judah, They shall be built, and I will raise up the waste places thereof;


Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that the city shall be built to Jehovah from the tower of Hananel unto the gate of the corner.


For Jehovah will judge his people, And repent himself for his servants; When he seeth that their power is gone, And there is none remaining, shut up or left at large.


But from thence ye shall seek Jehovah thy God, and thou shalt find him, when thou searchest after him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
