Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth,\par\tab Though he hide it under his tongue,


They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor:\par\tab With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.


They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent;\par\tab Adders' poison is under their lips. {\i Selah


As for the head of those that compass me about,\par\tab Let the mischief of their own lips cover them.


Rescue me, and deliver me out of the hand of aliens,\par\tab Whose mouth speaketh deceit,\par\tab And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression:\par\tab They speak loftily.


The getting of treasures by a lying tongue\par\tab Is a vapor driven to and fro by them that seek death.


Remove far from me falsehood and lies;\par\tab Give me neither poverty nor riches;\par\tab Feed me with the food that is needful for me:


None sueth in righteousness, and none pleadeth in truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.


And they bend their tongue, {\i as it were} their bow, for falsehood; and they are grown strong in the land, but not for truth: for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith Jehovah.


Thy habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith Jehovah.\par


Hear this, O ye that would swallow up the needy, and cause the poor of the land to fail,


Ye offspring of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
