But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them, as Jehovah had spoken.


They have stricken me, {\i shalt thou say}, and I was not hurt;\par\tab They have beaten me, and I felt it not:\par\tab When shall I awake?\par\tab I will seek it yet again.\par


{\i As} an archer that woundeth all,\par\tab So is he that hireth a fool and he that hireth them that pass by.


Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with bruised grain,\par\tab Yet will not his foolishness depart from him.\par


For all tables are full of vomit {\i and} filthiness, {\i so that there is} no place {\i clean}.\par


Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man becometh worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this evil generation.}\par
