{\b For the Chief Musician; set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David.}\par\par\tab Help, Jehovah; for the godly man ceaseth;\par\tab For the faithful fail from among the children of men.


They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor:\par\tab With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.


Counsel in the heart of man is {\i like} deep water;\par\tab But a man of understanding will draw it out.


{\i As} clouds and wind without rain,\par\tab {\i So is} he that boasteth himself of his gifts falsely.


Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth;\par\tab A stranger, and not thine own lips.


which my soul still seeketh, but I have not found: one man among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found.


Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that doeth justly, that seeketh truth; and I will pardon her.
