As for the head of those that compass me about,\par\tab Let the mischief of their own lips cover them.


So they shall be made to stumble, their own tongue being against them:\par\tab All that see them shall wag the head.


Wise men lay up knowledge;\par\tab But the mouth of the foolish is a present destruction.


The wise in heart will receive commandments;\par\tab But a prating fool shall fall.


In the transgression of the lips is a snare to the evil man;\par\tab But the righteous shall come out of trouble.


He that guardeth his mouth keepeth his life; {\i But} he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.


In the mouth of the foolish is a rod for {\i his} pride;\par\tab But the lips of the wise shall preserve them.


Understanding is a well-spring of life unto him that hath it;\par\tab But the correction of fools is {\i their} folly.
