Surely God will not hear an empty {\i cry},\par\tab Neither will the Almighty regard it.


Why standest thou afar off, O Jehovah?\par\tab Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?


For though Jehovah is high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly;\par\tab But the haughty he knoweth from afar.


They cried, but there was none to save;\par\tab Even unto Jehovah, but he answered them not.


For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish:\par\tab Thou hast destroyed all them that play the harlot, {\i departing} from thee.


Then will they call upon me, but I will not answer;\par\tab They will seek me diligently, but they shall not find me:


The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart;\par\tab {\i And} good tidings make the bones fat.


The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah;\par\tab But the prayer of the upright is his delight.


but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, so that he will not hear.


And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.}\par


We know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and do his will, him he heareth.
