Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek:\par\tab Thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear;


With my whole heart have I sought thee:\par\tab Oh let me not wander from thy commandments.


Oh that my ways were established\par\tab To observe thy statutes!


One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after:\par\tab That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life,\par\tab To behold the beauty of Jehovah,\par\tab And to inquire in his temple.


Delight thyself also in Jehovah;\par\tab And he will give thee the desires of thy heart.


The hope of the righteous {\i shall be} gladness;\par\tab But the expectation of the wicked shall perish.


There is that scattereth, and increaseth yet more;\par\tab And there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but {\i it tendeth} only to want.


When a wicked man dieth, {\i his} expectation shall perish;\par\tab And the hope of iniquity perisheth.


The thoughts of the righteous are just;\par\tab {\i But} the counsels of the wicked are deceit.


A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth;\par\tab But the soul of the treacherous {\i shall eat} violence.


With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee earnestly: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.


As for me, I have not hastened from being a shepherd after thee; neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was before thy face.


Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.


but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and {\b a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.}
