and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing:


And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.


that I will not take a thread nor a shoe-latchet nor aught that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:


And Jehovah hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks and herds, and silver and gold, and men-servants and maid-servants, and camels and asses.


And Isaac sowed in that land, and found in the same year a hundredfold: and Jehovah blessed him.


And the man waxed great, and grew more and more until he became very great:


And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, Hast thou killed and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.


And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it be not to my sorrow! And God granted him that which he requested.


And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, Jehovah is able to give thee much more than this.


And Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honor: and he provided him treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of goodly vessels;


Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance; for God had given him very much substance.


He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly;\par\tab And he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.


It is vain for you to rise up early,\par\tab To take rest late,\par\tab To eat the bread of toil;\par\tab {\i For} so he giveth unto his beloved sleep.


For such as are blessed of him shall inherit the land;\par\tab And they that are cursed of him shall be cut off.


The crown of the wise is their riches;\par\tab {\i But} the folly of fools is {\i only} folly.


An inheritance {\i may be} gotten hastily at the beginning;\par\tab But the end thereof shall not be blessed.


He that hath an evil eye hasteth after riches,\par\tab And knoweth not that want shall come upon him.


That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance,\par\tab And that I may fill their treasuries.\par


And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer, and they were fatter in flesh, than all the youths that did eat of the king's dainties.


I will cause it to go forth, saith Jehovah of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name; and it shall abide in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.\par


And now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruit of the ground, which thou, O Jehovah, hast given me. And thou shalt set it down before Jehovah thy God, and worship before Jehovah thy God:


And Jehovah will make thee plenteous for good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which Jehovah sware unto thy fathers to give thee.


But as for you, only keep yourselves from the devoted thing, lest when ye have devoted it, ye take of the devoted thing; so would ye make the camp of Israel accursed, and trouble it.
