Whoso privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I destroy:\par\tab Him that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer.


They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor:\par\tab With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.


He that slandereth not with his tongue,\par\tab Nor doeth evil to his friend,\par\tab Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor;


For there is no faithfulness in their mouth;\par\tab Their inward part is very wickedness;\par\tab Their throat is an open sepulchre;\par\tab They flatter with their tongue.


Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother;\par\tab Thou slanderest thine own mother's son.

Take ye heed every one of his neighbor, and trust ye not in any brother; for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will go about with slanders.
