It is a continual burnt-offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savor, an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.


And the drink-offering thereof shall be the fourth part of a hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou pour out a drink-offering of strong drink unto Jehovah.


But I hold not my life of any account as dear unto myself, so that I may accomplish my course, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.


Then Paul answered, What do ye, weeping and breaking my heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.


I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, {\i which is} your spiritual service.


that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.


And I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved the less?


So then death worketh in us, but life in you.


as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and {\i yet} possessing all things.\par


Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying on your behalf: I am filled with comfort, I overflow with joy in all our affliction.\par


according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but {\i that} with all boldness, as always, {\i so} now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.


and in the same manner do ye also joy, and rejoice with me.\par


because for the work of Christ he came nigh unto death, hazarding his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.\par


But I have all things, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things {\i that came} from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God.


Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church;


even so, being affectionately desirous of you, we were well pleased to impart unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were become very dear to us.


For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure is come.


ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.


Hereby know we love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
