and my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the peoples; and as one gathereth eggs that are forsaken, have I gathered all the earth: and there was none that moved the wing, or that opened the mouth, or chirped.\par


As for thy terribleness, the pride of thy heart hath deceived thee, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith Jehovah.


Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall destroyers come unto her, saith Jehovah.\par


Though they dig into Sheol, thence shall my hand take them; and though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down.


Woe to him that getteth an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!
