But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.


Moreover also, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, seeing that I have a treasure of mine own of gold and silver, I give it unto the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,


And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, because of that which God had prepared for the people: for the thing was done suddenly.\par


and cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee; for they have provoked {\i thee} to anger before the builders.


But it came to pass that, when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the repairing of the walls of Jerusalem went forward, {\i and} that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth;


So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth {\i day} of {\i the month} Elul, in fifty and two days.


Thy people offer themselves willingly In the day of thy power, in holy array:\par\tab Out of the womb of the morning\par\tab Thou hast the dew of thy youth.


Jerusalem, that art builded\par\tab As a city that is compact together;


And Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work on the house of Jehovah of hosts, their God,


for it is God who worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.


make you perfect in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom {\i be} the glory for ever and ever. Amen.\par
