Be of good courage, and let us play the man for our people, and for the cities of our God: and Jehovah do that which seemeth him good.


Be strong and of good courage, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him; for there is a greater with us than with him:


and said, I beseech thee, O Jehovah, the God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and lovingkindness with them that love him and keep his commandments:


Out of the north cometh golden splendor:\par\tab God hath upon him terrible majesty.


I remember the days of old;\par\tab I meditate on all thy doings;\par\tab I muse on the work of thy hands.


Some {\i trust} in chariots, and some in horses;\par\tab But we will make mention of the name of Jehovah our God.

By terrible things thou wilt answer us in righteousness,\par\tab O God of our salvation,\par\tab Thou that art the confidence of all the ends of the earth,\par\tab And of them that are afar off upon the sea:


Say unto God, How terrible are thy works!\par\tab Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.


Come, and see the works of God;\par\tab {\i He is} terrible in his doing toward the children of men.


Jehovah will fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.


And he took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for Jehovah fighteth for them against the Egyptians.


Remember also thy Creator in the days of thy youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;


And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he pervert by flatteries; but the people that know their God shall be strong, and do {\i exploits}.


Then shall Jehovah go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.


Only rebel not against Jehovah, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is removed from over them, and Jehovah is with us: fear them not.


And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.


Behold, Jehovah thy God hath set the land before thee: go up, take possession, as Jehovah, the God of thy fathers, hath spoken unto thee; fear not, neither be dismayed.


For Jehovah your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the terrible, who regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.


So that with good courage we say,\par\tab {\b The Lord is my helper; I will not fear:\par\tab What shall man do unto me?}\par


Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not affrighted, neither be thou dismayed: for Jehovah thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.


And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the hill-country of Ephraim; and the children of Israel went down with him from the hill-country, and he before them.
