This is the word that Jehovah hath spoken concerning him: The virgin daughter of Zion hath despised thee and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.


I also could speak as ye do;\par\tab If your soul were in my soul's stead,\par\tab I could join words together against you,\par\tab And shake my head at you.


For he hath loosed his cord, and afflicted me;\par\tab And they have cast off the bridle before me.


For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit have they opened against me:\par\tab They have spoken unto me with a lying tongue.


I am become also a reproach unto them:\par\tab When they see me, they shake their head.


I may count all my bones.\par\tab They look and stare upon me;


Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness:\par\tab And I looked for some to take pity, but there was none;\par\tab And for comforters, but I found none.
