Not unto us, O Jehovah, not unto us,\par\tab But unto thy name give glory,\par\tab For thy lovingkindness, and for thy truth's sake.


As is thy name, O God,\par\tab So is thy praise unto the ends of the earth:\par\tab Thy right hand is full of righteousness.


Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name;\par\tab And deliver us, and forgive our sins, for thy name's sake.


They have said,\par\tab Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation;\par\tab That the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.


For they have consulted together with one consent;\par\tab Against thee do they make a covenant:


Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, saying, For evil did he bring them forth, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.


But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.\par


Let the priests, the ministers of Jehovah, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Jehovah, and give not thy heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the peoples, Where is their God?\par


Then mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her who said unto me, Where is Jehovah thy God? Mine eyes shall see {\i my desire} upon her; now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.


And Moses said unto Jehovah, Then the Egyptians will hear it; for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;


Father, glorify thy name.} There came therefore a voice out of heaven, {\i saying}, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.


lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because Jehovah was not able to bring them into the land which he promised unto them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.


And Jehovah said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore art thou thus fallen upon thy face?


Oh, Lord, what shall I say, after that Israel hath turned their backs before their enemies!


For Jehovah will not forsake his people for his great name's sake, because it hath pleased Jehovah to make you a people unto himself.
