Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the ordinance.\par


I spread forth my hands unto thee:\par\tab My soul {\i thirsteth} after thee, as a weary land. {\i Selah


My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:\par\tab When shall I come and appear before God?


{\b A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.}\par\par\tab O God, thou art my God; earnestly will I seek thee:\par\tab My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee,\par\tab In a dry and weary land, where no water is.


Wisdom crieth aloud in the street;\par\tab She uttereth her voice in the broad places;


Doth not wisdom cry,\par\tab And understanding put forth her voice?


I love them that love me;\par\tab And those that seek me diligently shall find me.


Beside the gates, at the entry of the city,\par\tab At the coming in at the doors, she crieth aloud:

I am come into my garden, my sister, {\i my} bride:\par\tab I have gathered my myrrh with my spice;\par\tab I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey;\par\tab I have drunk my wine with my milk.\par\tab Eat, O friends;\par\tab Drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.


Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.


Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem; and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she hath received of Jehovah's hand double for all her sins.\par


The voice of one saying, Cry. And one said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field.


For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and streams upon the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:


Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.


Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.


Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and declare unto my people their transgression, and to the house of Jacob their sins.


O Jehovah, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Our fathers have inherited nought but lies, {\i even} vanity and things wherein there is no profit.


Go, and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, I remember for thee the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals; how thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.


And it shall come to pass, that every living creature which swarmeth, in every place whither the rivers come, shall live; and there shall be a very great multitude of fish; for these waters are come thither, and {\i the waters of the sea} shall be healed, and everything shall live whithersoever the river cometh.


Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Jehovah: on the eighth day shall be a holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Jehovah: it is a solemn assembly; ye shall do no servile work.


Howbeit on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruits of the land, ye shall keep the feast of Jehovah seven days: on the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest.


The voice of Jehovah crieth unto the city, and {\i the man of} wisdom will see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.


Jehovah of hosts will defend them; and they shall devour, and shall tread down the sling-stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.


On the eighth day ye shall have a solemn assembly: ye shall do no servile work;


Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.


For this is he that was spoken of through Isaiah the prophet, saying,\par\tab {\b The voice of one crying in the wilderness,\par\tab Make ye ready the way of the Lord,\par\tab Make his paths straight.}\par


Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.


He said, I am {\b the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord,} as said Isaiah the prophet.


Jesus saith unto him, {\cf6 I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.


Jesus answered and said unto her, {\cf6 If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.}


The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: whence then hast thou that living water?


but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life.}


and ye will not come to me, that ye may have life.


Jesus said unto them, {\cf6 I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.


All that which the Father giveth me shall come unto me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.


For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.


Jesus therefore cried in the temple, teaching and saying, {\cf6 Ye both know me, and know whence I am; and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.


Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: ye cannot partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons.


and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them: and the rock was Christ.


In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, {\cf6 This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink {\i it}, in remembrance of me.}


For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.


And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;


And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I {\i am} the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.


And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb,


And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he that heareth, let him say, Come. And he that is athirst, let him come: he that will, let him take the water of life freely.\par
