And he said unto him, Went not my heart with thee, when the man turned from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards and vineyards, and sheep and oxen, and men-servants and maid-servants?


And one of his servants said, Nay, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.


And the multitudes said, This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.\par


And he said unto them, {\cf6 What things?} And they said unto him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:


And fear took hold on all: and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet is arisen among us: and, God hath visited his people.


Now when the Pharisee that had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him, that she is a sinner.


for thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: this hast thou said truly.}


Come, see a man, who told me all things that {\i ever} I did: can this be the Christ?


When therefore the people saw the sign which he did, they said, This is of a truth the prophet that cometh into the world.\par


{\i Some} of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, This is of a truth the prophet.


They say therefore unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, in that he opened thine eyes? And he said, He is a prophet.


Jehovah thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
